Testimonials
One of the churches serving as a host site was Black Rock Community Church in New Haven, CT. Black Rock tracked their seniors who attended to assess whether the event was true to life, and if it prepared them for the challenges they would face and if they got connected to a ministry. The result, all of their graduates continued in their faith connected to ministries and reported that the preparation was exceedingly helpful! Given the response of their graduates, Black Rock Community Church will advertise the event to their community as an outreach this year.
Their youth leader wrote this: about Succeed:
"This last year I had ten of my high school students participate in the Youth Transition Webcast. All of them were greatly challenged to be spiritually ready for college. Most of them were blown away by the idea that their first 72 hours at college were the most important in staying strong in their faith. In talking with the students as they all have started college, they say that much of what they learned from the webcast was true about their first days at college. Many of them were able to find Christian roommates and are already plugged into campus ministries because of the website."
Jeremy Taylor
High School Director
"I could have never had the discussions with my son apart from the college student videos and speakers opening him up to the challenges and issues ahead, paving the way for discussion and giving me access to help my son in transition."
Anonymous Father
"It really is a platform to be begin to discuss some of these issues, especially with students. If we're doing this in a church, using Succeed in this format, really springboards college transition."

"Totally worth the time. It was excellent. It was very well done. You had fantastic speakers in all different areas. It kept it moving so that it touched all avenues that would help prepare kids for going into college."
